I began programming on a teletype connected to a PDP 8 with 8K of memory. I worked in the Nuclear field on Whole Body Counters to measure the light of electrons as they passed through a sodium iodine crystal. That's radiation. Never trust a government, especially when they tell you it's safe.Founded a company that built consumer products inserting data into TV video signals. With it, I built the first traffic broadcast system that gathered the data from Caltrans in LA and broadcast it to offices. That lead to the way you get sensor data for traffic flow today, on all kinds of devices. Guys like Eric Schmitt and Vint Cerf played with this at SUN Microsystems. I had built one of the largest data broadcasting companies in the US sending Stock market data from S&P Comstock.The Super Information Highway came along and I build one of the first ISPs in Palo Alto. Shortly after, one of the very first a Cable modem companies called ISP channel. At Softnet Systems, I wired an entire country in Africa, Malawi.net and connected it back to New Jersey through an Intelsat satellite so that they were not subordinate to South Africa. For their first freely elected president, dictator under house arrest, so I did it for them. Next, founded Internet Incubator called Internet Inventions. The DOT bomb came so we closed it down.
