Codec Consulting provides product development, and operational consulting services in the areas of CBRS, Private LTE networks, 5G, Consumer Mobile Products and OSS/BSS solutions.

At Federated, I led the Product and Marketing functions. In this role, I was responsible for demand generation, pricing, product strategy, and roadmap. For our CBRS Spectrum Access Service (SAS) I refocused the sales and marketing to a market-share based strategy, initiated the company's first digital marketing campaigns, and added a value-added-reseller channel. A significant portion of my time was spent developing our private-LTE network as a service offer called, Connectivity-as-a-Service. Following a broad market survey, we built our MVP based on a single enhanced-packet-core and radio access network combination. We had just begun proof-of-concept sales when a decision was made to restructure the company to conserve available funds.

As the company grew from 25 to over 150 people, my role evolved to focus exclusively on Business Development and new Product Development. I was responsible for all RFP responses, pricing, and client negotiations. During this time Arterra was able to profitably expand its product portfolio and professional services business within existing clients and with new clients by over 300%.

As VP of Operations, I led the successful pursuit of Comcast's Xfinity Mobile and Charter's Spectrum Mobile mobile virtual network enablement business. In addition to winning this business, I also built the team and led the on-time implementation of these $20M+ projects. My portfolio included teams responsible for Business Development, Project Management, Solution Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Client Support.

At NII, I built and led a team of 40+ Product/Project Management staff. Managed the complete lifecycle for all customer facing products and services. I had budget responsibility for an $11M operating budget and a $97M product development/deployment budget. I led the device portfolio development for standard and custom handsets, broadband devices, and new network platform selection (Outsourced Platforms, Video, and Content) and deployment. This included large multi-lateral, and multi-year, contract negotiations with multiple device (Huawei, Motorola, Blackberry, Apple) and infrastructure providers (Huawei, Motorola, Qualcomm).

While at Freewebs I worked closely with the founders to put in place a basic accounting solution, and develop the financial models and forecasts which were used in the Series A round of financing for the company. I restructured and enhanced the premium hosting services offer, and deployed a new e-commerce platform simplifying the purchasing process and expanding payment options. This lead to a nearly immediate 20% increase in monthly sales.

In this position at NEXTEL Communications I built and led a team of 40 Product Management and Marketing professionals. Created the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Nextel’s wireless data services. Worked cross-functionally to create pricing, packaging, sales compensation and marketing materials for the data services portfolio across all channels. Directed new product and platform launches including the introduction of Blackberry email, narrowband data plans, and an integrated digital media storefront

Defined the product, and go-to-market strategy for the Geometrix product. This included standards body contributions (TIA-45), product feature trade-offs, and securing customer trials.
