When I joined the company in 1995, it was known as Policy Management System Corporation. In January 2000, the company’s name was changed to Mynd Corporation. The company is a leading provider of systems, services, sourcing and eBusiness solutions designed to meet the needs of the global insurance and financial services industries.Corporate Vice President• Primarily focused on international business development to include expansion of businesses in existing markets and entry into new markets with a particular focus on Japan, China, India and Korea. 1999 - 2000• Responsible for providing marketing and technical support to Mynd’s international business which produces over $200 million in annual revenues, employs 1,500 people, and operates in thirty plus countries. 1997 - 1998• General Manager of Mynd’s operations in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Asia Region (ten countries); this high growth segment produced $75 million in annual revenue and employed 500 people. 1995 - 1996• Conducted market research, established investment banking, consultant, and partner relationships, and authored a business plan for Mynd’s entry into the deregulated Japanese insurance market (the world’s largest life insurance market and the world’s second largest general insurance market).• Consummated long-term distribution agreements with three Japanese companies willing to make substantive investments in preparing US developed software for the Asian market; expect initial sales in 2001.• Established a company in India that provides remote software development services to customers around the globe. Mynd India currently employs 300 people that produce ISO 9000 quality software at half the cost of development in the United States.
