Design and administer a data warehouse for Ready Wireless. Ready Wireless uses a combination of SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Tentatively, we will be implementing an enterprise data warehouse in PostgreSQL using the data vault methods and architecture. I also programmed various ETL processes and created reports for business units.I also worked in database administration on production system, under the senior DBA. I also did work in desktop support, including upgrading databases for a production warehouse application (Fishbowl). Troubleshooting also revealed a networking bug that had been unnoticed for years.

I have been using my wife's portrait photography business to explore and demonstrate a variety of web development frameworks. The site is currently running on Heroku (developer mode) and is written using Zenexity's Play Framework 2.0 and Twitter Bootstrap 2.0. The site also uses PostgreSQL 9.1, as well as Cloudflare to improve performance and security.

Developer for Census Counts, which provided GUI access to data from the US Census. I developed the data access layer and helped with the database generation. We reduced 6 CDs of Census data onto a single CD. This was accomplished by careful normalization and by using the database compression features of Sybase's SQL Anywhere.
