Critical outcomes• Regained organisational credibility and visibility through a focus on refreshed values, with coherent approaches to unity, social justice issues, member programmes and engagement.• Instigated and delivered a change process across structures, ways of working, and networks to embed organisational goals and development• Secured future sustainability through the application of a strong financial and investment strategy whilst implementing a new governance and accountability structure to ensure full member confidence• Developed innovative programmes and advocacy across work areas including migration, racial justice, interfaith, social policy and gender• Created a “virtual” organisation on principles of ‘open’ leadership combined with a new communications strategy through the development of web based resources and social media engagement including regular broadcasting with BBC Radio 4 and local radio• Developed extensive knowledge of, and relationships with partners across Europe, the Middle East and China as well as Britain and Ireland• Designed high quality and innovative research on community development across Britain and Ireland (Good Society Project)

Gained extensive Trustee and Governance experience as a member of the Christian Aid Board. The Trustee body is responsible for ensuring the delivery of strategy and the highest level of good governance for its £100 million per year budget. The Board developed a new vision for CA in 2013 (Partnership for Change)
