Full management, sales and P&L responsibility for the USA and Brazilian operations.Primarily focused on the sales and recruitment teams in Houston and Rio de Janeiro. I reorganised and refocused the teams as well as established new offices in Salt Lake City, UT and Pittsburgh, PA to maximize opportunities with new and existing clients resulting in:- Exceeding 200% growth in overall contractor headcount- Eliminated overdependence on one client by establishing new contracts and expanding existing contracts with other clients.- Revenue growth of over 170% on annualized basis- Profitability of the Rio de Janeiro office in the first full financial yearOther responsibilities and achievements included:- Undertook a full review of all employment practices and US employment law including FLSA, COBRA, ERISA and 401k compliance, resulting in implementation of corrective actions, tighter controls and reduction of negative employment law exposure.- Year on year reduction of 25% of PPO healthcare insurance whilst improving the health plan. These savings were equivalent to approximately $1.2m over two years.- Implementation of a new database based on Microsoft’s CRM system- An upgrade of the Navision accounting system- Overhaul and implementation of the local marketing efforts to increase brand awareness within the energy and mining sector including the establishment of “Team Brunel Cycling” which resulted in Rookie Team of the year at the 2012 BP MS150 raising over $100,000 for MS research over two years.

Initially joined the Swift head office in London before transferring to lead the growth of theHouston office. Sole focus then moved to business development, firstly in Houston and thenin South East Asia.Negotiated a global master agreement with Chevron which was awarded in April2005, the amended agreement in October 2009 as well as the contract for the AngolaLNG project located in Angola in 2006. These two contracts represented Swift’s largestclient by number of contractors and revenue. These contracts were the backbone of Swift’s rapid expansion in the five years to the end of 2010, allowing growth of the US and Brazilian operationsfrom small core teams to viable independent businesses as well as opening newoperations in Angola, Nigeria, Australia, China and South Korea.Manager of the global agreement with Chevron with responsibility for the successful implementation of the contract by providing operational advice and support to individual Swift business units.Planning and delivery of high level business development opportunities within Chevronand addressing existing client requirements.Established the office in Ulsan, South Korea, including interviewing and hiring local staffmembers with responsibility for the day to day oversight of the office including:Setting the annual budget and ensuring that the proper financial controls and reportingare adhered to.Training, coaching and support of staff.Ensuring the delivery of Swift’s services to clients including sourcing of qualifiedengineering personnel globally, taxation compliance, procurement of work visas, travelsupport and payroll.
