General Manager - AmericasBrunel Jan 2011 - Jun 2013Amsterdam, NlFull management, sales and P&L responsibility for the USA and Brazilian operations.Primarily focused on the sales and recruitment teams in Houston and Rio de Janeiro. I reorganised and refocused the teams as well as established new offices in Salt Lake City, UT and Pittsburgh, PA to maximize opportunities with new and existing clients resulting in:- Exceeding 200% growth in overall contractor headcount- Eliminated overdependence on one client by establishing new contracts and expanding existing contracts with other clients.- Revenue growth of over 170% on annualized basis- Profitability of the Rio de Janeiro office in the first full financial yearOther responsibilities and achievements included:- Undertook a full review of all employment practices and US employment law including FLSA, COBRA, ERISA and 401k compliance, resulting in implementation of corrective actions, tighter controls and reduction of negative employment law exposure.- Year on year reduction of 25% of PPO healthcare insurance whilst improving the health plan.
