Currently Corporate Strategy Director for Insight Investment, my focus is on supporting the development of the strategic direction for the organisation whilst also leading various strategic business initiatives, including those that are core to the next chapters in the development of Insight, e.g. DB pension endgame solutions, longevity hedging, asymmetric liability hedging, ESG strategy, etc. I have also led multiple strategic activities relating to the wider business environment and its impact due to regulation, including examples such as Insight’s Brexit strategy and our engagement with the FCA AM Market Study. Prior to joining Insight I was Head of Asset Management Consulting at iBe TSE Ltd (formerly Bluerock Consulting Ltd) where I focussed on helping Asset / Investment / Wealth Management companies deliver significant pieces of business change. This typically involved the launch of innovative investment propositions, for example a European Wealth Management proposition (Active FI funds within a Luxembourg SICAV), exchange traded funds (ETFs), funds of hedge funds, liability driven investment (LDI) funds, bulk purchase annuity (BPA) transactions, etc. These projects typically involved helping clients progress from business strategy / business case development, through operating and distribution model definition and build; selection of third party administrators; and finally launch of the product / proposition. In parallel I was involved in driving the growth of Bluerock through the period prior to its sale to Be Consulting SpA of Italy in early 2012, acting as both a Main Board Director and COO. I was also COO of Aldermans, Bluerock’s recruitment business (now Bluerock Resourcing), through its first two years of trading following launch of the business in 2006.Prior to joining Bluerock in 2003 I was a Principal Consultant at KPMG Consulting for five years, focussing on helping financial services clients to achieve world class operational standards through use of business change techniques, sourcing services and information technology solutions. I originally trained as a consultant at EDS, taking a year's sabbatical to complete an MBA in Financial Studies.

I joined the Corporate & Product Strategy Team at Insight Investment Management Ltd in June 2015, and have responsibility for delivering Insight's corporate strategy.
London, United Kingdom
I was Head of the Asset Management Consulting practice of iBe TSE Ltd (previously Bluerock Consulting), working closely with my colleagues in the Life & Pensions practice to service clients drawn from across the Investment Management industry. To this end I typically worked with clients drawn from across the Institutional Asset Management space but I also work within the Retail Asset Management and Wealth Management sectors, and with service providers from across the industry. Clients in this space included BGI / BlackRock, LGIM, JPMAM, BNYM, RLAM, UBS, RPMI, etc.During my time with Bluerock / iBe I was mainly employed as a management consultant but I also undertook a number of line roles on an interim basis. For example, I was seconded for to LGIM as Ho Front Office IT in 2011 while the division was restructured to make it more client focused.I also undertook a number of internal roles within Bluerock, including that of COO between 2007 and 2009. During this period I was responsible for all operational and financial aspects of the business, whilst continuing to undertake client engagements. I was also responsible for setting up the resourcing arm of Bluerock - originally Aldermans, now Bluerock Resourcing - in 2006, which is responsible for recruitment and management of all non-permanent resources for Bluerock. I was a Main Board Director of Bluerock until its sale to BE SpA.
London, United Kingdom
I was a founding Director and COO of Aldermans Limited, Bluerock's standalone resourcing arm. The business was rebranded "Bluerock Resourcing" in April 2010 and wrapped back into Bluerock Consulting Ltd, with Aldermans closing as a standalone company in March 2012.

I joined KPMG Consulting to work as part of the Sourcing Advisory Capability within the World Class IT (WCIT) Practice based in London, which subsequently transferred into Financial Services Consulting. I spent a considerable part of my time with KPMG working in the Lloyd's / London Insurance Market, typically running workstreams and / or programme's of business change as clients sought to take advantage of new ways of working and the efficiencies that new technologies could provide. For example, I worked on the merger of Murray Lawrence and Angerstein to form Amlin, and the subsequent reengineering / re-platforming of that business. Other non-London Market projects included the outsource of Bank of Scotland's data centres to IBM, Alliance & Leicester's "Strategy 2000" Programme, and the strategy for integrating Bank of Scotland's IT into Halifax as part of the acquisition of the former by the later.
London, United Kingdom
I returned to EDS following completion of my MBA to work on the BPR of the International (non-US) business of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC). My main responsibilities were around process mapping the Commercial and Wholesale Lending businesses, and the subsequent systems selection exercise that resulted. Much of the former activity took place in Weisbaden, Germany. I left EDS to join KPMG as the project moved from design into systems integration / implementation.
Nottingham, United Kingdom
A full-time MBA in Financial Studies (Distinction) whilst on a year's sabbatical from EDS. My dissertation was on Outsourcing.
London, Canada Area
I joined the EDS Systems Engineer Development (SED) Programme following completion of my first degree. This was a structured training course for new graduates lasting circa 24 months during which time I spent the initial 9 months as a business analyst working on the launch of Norwich Union Healthcare in Southampton followed by 3 months training at EDS Headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Upon my return to the UK I joined the GMAC account, working initially with Retail (hire purchase and leasing) systems before progressing to work on Commercial Lending (term loans and revolving lines of credit) and latterly Wholesale (dealer and wholesale stock funding) systems.
