Developed and managed 4 distinct business units consisting of conventional, real estate, SBA, bridge, and franchise consulting services. Business Development Officer • Structured, analyzed, rated, negotiated, financed, brokered and consulted prospective customers utilizing conventional, real estate, bridge, equity, SBA 7a, 504, USDA, and HUD loan products for local, national clients and international clients. Hired and managed a credit analyst and several interns, trained 6 business development officers in structuring and presenting commercial loans, and provided input to senior management regarding credit policy changes and enhancements. Responsible for management and budget of the corporate finance, franchise finance, collections, real estate services, and architecture functions for this $480 Million multi-unit NASDAQ franchise operator. Developed new sources of acquisition capital and reduced balance sheet liabilities. Reduced contingent liabilities and corporate guarantees from $37 Million to $25 Million, disposed of a $5 Million letter of credit, and refinanced $70 Million in franchisee and corporate debt. Refinanced corporate debt was placed as a 7(a) or 504 loan with GE Capital, CIT, Comerica, or Heller Financial [franchisees were originally funded from a public offering and placed on the corporate books]. Assisted in the restructuring of a $15 Million syndicated line of credit with 3 syndicated major banks. Managed and maintained corporate banking, institutional lending, and lease relationships for the corporation. Participated in all financial planning, forecasting and budgeting activities with the Controller, CFO and all department heads. Conducted the feasibility analysis and subsequent purchase of a $10 Million computer system for the franchise system. Managed corporate cash flow on a daily basis. Directed and conducted financial modeling, costing and forecasting for corporate restaurants. Participated in all public financial discussion conference calls related to the corporate stock. Worked with outside auditors, bankers, and attorneys. Conducted all financial analysis and related reporting activities. Responsible for the disposition and maintenance of the classified asset portfolio of the bank. Primary duties consisted of regular appraisals of all real property secured by a bank lien, engaged bank approved engineers to perform phase 1 environmental reports as required, kept track of and reported on all required financial compliance requirements as dictated by loan committee. Restructured loans, performed regular loan reviews to committee, worked with major law firms to ensure bank compliance to advert any lender liability or course of dealing situations. Liquidated collateral, testified in court on behalf of the bank, foreclosed on real property and other collateral, initiated the placement of judgments, and other adverse actions as required. Worked directly with the borrowers to plan an exit strategy from the bank or assisted in the rehabilitation of the loan to an acceptable grade. Budgeted loss reserve and non-accrual numbers for management. Serviced all loans in the portfolio and made site visits as required.

Department efficiency was rated best in Texas Commerce Bank utilizing 1 staff for every 5 at the Houston corporate location. Managed a multi-shift operation consisting of 25 exempt and non-exempt personnel, including a data processing and programming section. Managed software development utilizing GEMCOS, COBOL, Pascal, Assembler, and C+. Cost justified and purchased mini computers, networking systems and OCR/MICR scanning equipment on behalf of the bank. Offered technical and product related support to banking relationship managers and customers. Participated on Treasury Management calls to assist in the potential sale of business for the bank.
