For more than 14 years, I live and work in the "EU/Brussels Bubble" as an expert in European affairs after having graduated from Maastricht University's European Studies programme. The focus of my work centers on European energy, climate and sustainability policy, mobility and transport policy, and the regulation of networked industries (telecommunications, digital).For five years, I worked as a Consultant/Lobbyist for an international consultancy and gained valuable insight into policy-making while advising corporate clients on political strategies.Since February 2016, I work for the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv) in Brussels. Core tasks of my job are representing the interests of consumers to high-ranking EU policy-makers, coordinating with our European association and policy experts at vzbv's headquarters in Berlin, and speaking at high-level events.I am very grateful to have had the chance to work in international environments at the European Commission Delegation to India, Nepal and Bhutan and the European Parliament. Working in the main institutions of the European Union was a priviledge that shaped my views on society and ultimately led me to Belgium, whose citizen I became in 2023 - just in time to vote!
