  Selected Significant Matters:• Conducted internal investigation of allegations of federal procurement fraud and accounting irregularities for publicly traded government contractor. • Conducted accounting fraud internal investigation for wholly-owned government corporation. • Represented audit committee in independent investigation of alleged FCPA violations and accounting fraud. • Successfully defended a former Chief Financial Officer in lawsuit brought by Securities and Exchange Commission alleging violations of the antibribery, books and records, and internal controls provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. • Represented a major health care provider in Department of Justice investigation alleging fraudulent Medicare billing for investigational devices (no charges brought) and qui tam litigation under the False Claim Act. • Obtained dismissal of Alien Tort Statute and Torture Victim Protection Act claims against a multinational company in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in which plaintiffs alleged defendant company’s complicity in human rights violations. • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of publicly traded company on Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower and Title VII discrimination claims brought by former senior vice president.
