After nearly 25 years as development manager and lead architect of ERP/MIS in the printing-, packaging-, and corrugated industry, I switched to the nutrition industry. At BESTMIX Software as senior architect I’m leading a team of architects and developers building systems for ERP, Recipe Management, Quality Control, for companies in the Feed and Food sector worldwide.I'm a strong believer that technology must serve the issues our users are facing, so understanding their domain in all its complexity is key. Some problems are suitable for cloud or apps, others require on premise or even offline solutions. The trick is to create an integrated architecture which offers the solution which fits best for each piece of functionality or type of user.So although I'm a developer at hart, interested in the latest version of C# or virtualizing microservices. Yet talking with experts in the field about how glue interacts with paper fibers limiting machine speeds or how enzymes in the food effect the quality of milk; really makes my day.
