Managing the roll-out of a Forms Management/Forms On demand System to our Acute Care Facilities, and supporting the administration of that application. This position requires demoing the system to customers in sessions usually attended by managers, directors, and C-suite personnel. There is a lot of customer interaction to gather facility information related to forms, kits, users, and printers which requires working with HIM staff, managers and supervisors of various nursing areas, and the IT staff. Implementation requires a great deal of communication, coordination, training, and on the spot trouble shooting.

Volunteer diver working every other Sunday. I started at the Aquarium back when it was the New Jersey State Aquarium, and continued when it changed to Adventure Aquarium.As the Team Captain, I work out all the logistics for the day, as well as performing all the duties of a volunteer diver including dive shows, tank maintenance, etc.

* Managed changes to complex print applications for critical Healthcare Applications. Changes had to be on target because they were part of scheduled releases which were determined by the customer. * Saved approximately $1,000,000 annually in postage for a Healthcare Customer by bundling mail pieces going to the same recipient into a single mail piece.* Merging 2 complex print streams prior to printing eliminated the need to upgrade and maintain an antiquated inserting machine, and saved the Print Facility over $200,000.* Removed hard-coded tables from complex programs, and substituted flat temporary files to avoid situations where tables could be exceeded, and jobs would abend.

* Evaluated 3 legacy systems, and presented the findings to the business owners, and the technical staff, and made recommendations that would generate a combined estimated savings of $250,000 annually in maintenance costs, and computer run-time charges.* Created a program, and an automated process to modify existing JCL to improve performance, and decrease execution time. This was utilized by the Operation area for 300+ jobs resulting in several thousand dollars in savings for reduced execution time. Utilizing this process became mandatory for new jobs being implemented into the production environment.* Improved the ability to share data files, documentation, test plans, etc. across the Personal Lines, and Group Insurance organizations by assisting staff members with standardizing their work stations in terms of software, software versions, and connecting to various shared servers needed to perform their jobs. This sometimes required upgrading hardware, adding memory, etc.

* Led the initial effort to analyze a Billing System to determine the changes needed to bring new external clients into the System while maintaining client security, and separation of output. This was part of a project to utilize the CIGNA Personal Lines Systems to process other client's policies and billing transactions.* Analyzed the billing needs of several external clients while instilling competence, and building a relationship of trust. The analysis effort was followed by designing, coding, testing, and implementing the necessary changes.

* Developed an application to automate the rating, and generation of Personal Excess Liability Policies to eliminate a manual effort, and reduce the delivery time of these policies. This included leading the coding, testing, and implementation effort of this project.* Assisted with coding, testing, and implementing a Boats System to rate, and generate Personal Boat Policies reducing the time to market for these policies, and eliminating rating errors.* Simplified the process of forcing Automobile Policies into Renewal and Pre-Renewal conditions for testing purposes by creating a Data Entry/Data Capture System. This System was used by the Personal Auto Research & Testing Group to verify programming changes, and to insure the integrity of the application.

* Designed, coded, tested, and supported a Deferred System for the Billing Group.* Provided support for changes, and problem resolution for a Producer Billing System.
