I am supporting departmental initiatives, program planning, and technical questions with a focus on renewable technology and clean energy planning. My work has focused on developing the DEQ Clean Energy Plan supporting work on understanding renewable technologies in NC and working with portfolio modeling organizations to develop alternative future.

In my consultation, I provided analysis and strategic program development to the NC Sierra Club on developing community solar options in NC. In this role, I met with stakeholders, analyzed new legislation, and researched community solar program options.

In my role as a consultant, I developed educational materials, wrote donor background materials, wrote web content, developed outreach materials, developed events and trainings, and made presentations. I also researched solar farm issues and introduced C4EE staff to energy companies and organizations. The Center for Energy Education in Halifax County.

• As renewable energy program manager for NC, I addressed issues facilitating renewable energy technologies and markets in NC working with stakeholders including universities, federal agencies, non-profits, and.
• Managed photovoltaic, solar thermal, and landfill gas projects as part of Federal Recovery Act funding – work included RFP development, project consultation, compliance monitoring, and fiscal oversight for over 30.
• Provided consultation to state agencies, individuals, and private companies on financial incentives, technical information, and regulatory requirements for renewable energy projects.
• Supplied technical support for projects and initiatives including: the NC Offshore Wind Task Force; Energy Policy Council, renewable energy project development for public agencies; and solar access and market.
• Conference and event planning including: donor solicitation and exhibitor outreach, developing conference tracks, preparing and presenting presentations, and assembling panels as part of conferences and technical.
• Project management for a variety of DOE special projects and outside agency grants for over 15 years including: NC biomass roadmap development, regional greenpower workshops, wind feasibility mapping for NC, NC million.

• Developed, administered, and evaluated a statewide radon training and education program.
• Wrote and designed radon technical training materials and educational information for a variety of external and internal audiences. Published and distributed a newsletter statewide.
• Presented and evaluated radon workshops for health, housing, education, local government professionals, the general public, and internal staff.

• Managed Solar Energy and Energy Conservation Bank program funding solar projects in NC.
• Provided technical assistance to private sector companies, state agencies, and the general public.
