Testing has endowed me with a great sense of methodologies for problem solving, written and spoken communication skills, and a knack for breaking things, which I believe will be integral for my continued education and career.Having become a lifelong learner, and a student of cybersecurity, I'm ready to begin the next chapter of my life. I'm interested in expanding my skillset, learning from professionals, and networking with mentors within the cybersecurity industry. In this ever-changing technological playground, there will always be something new to learn. Bob Lindstrom Work Experience Details
  • Fred Meyer
    Fuel Clerk
Fred Meyer Dec 2023 - Present
    Kent, Washington, United States
Job duties include keeping the fuel area clean, handling cash transactions, and helping customers with payment and fuel tank refilling.
  • Elwha River Casino
    Cashier
Elwha River Casino May 2019 - Jul 2021
    Port Angeles, Washington, United States
I worked 35+ hours a week at the Elwha River Casino while attending community college full time. My job responsibilities involved the handling of money, including cashing slot machine tickets for guests, paying out jackpots, debit withdrawals, verifying tills, daily paperwork, and circulating cash back to and from the vault.
  • Alert Security Services
    Security Guard
Alert Security Services Oct 2017 - Jun 2018
    Port Angeles, Washington, United States
I was hired to guard a construction site during the night, and sign in construction workers in the morning. Job responsibilities included patrolling the grounds, confirming all entrances/exits were secured, monitoring for trespassers, and filing reports for any security breaches. While the hours were rough, it allowed me a lot of free time between patrols for reading and expanding my creative skills.
  • Ptiglobal
    Global Localization Engineer
    Ptiglobal Mar 2014 - Jan 2017
    Beaverton, Or
Localization was something that I occasionally dealt with in game testing, but never on a level that intense. PTIGlobal was a great company to work for; I'd never worked for a company that encouraged me to learn so much, nor a company that had me work in so many mediums. I did everything from working in Adobe Photoshop and In-Design, to voice recording and video capture, to learning CSS and HTML. It was also my first experience working with the Unity game engine, as well as OCR technology.
  • Xerox
    Customer Service Representative
    Xerox Jan 2014 - Mar 2014
    Portland, Or
Working in a call center certainly was a new experience for me. I quickly learned the difficulty of helping people over the phone, as well as how to handle stressful situations when the customer had a question I didn’t know how to answer; you had to think and act quickly, as well as multitask constantly. It was one of the most challenging jobs I’ve had, but it felt rewarding in knowing I could help someone from such a long distance away.
  • Glu Mobile
    Qa Analyst
    Glu Mobile Sep 2013 - Dec 2013
    Bellevue, Wa
Glu Mobile is the first studio I’d worked for where all the testing was done on tablet devices. I learned new techniques in not only testing game controls, but also focusing on a game’s difficulty balance and economy. Glu was also the first company I’d worked for that asked for feedback on a daily basis. It was fulfilling to give my opinion on how to make a game more visually appealing, more steadily challenging, and more fun for the player.
  • Wb Games
    Product Tester
    Wb Games Jan 2011 - Dec 2012
    Kirkland, Wa
WB Games was a fast-paced, high demanding work environment, and was definitely one of the most challenging studios I’ve worked for. Overtime was heavily encouraged, and I often found myself working over 80 hours a week for several months at a time. Testing was also sometimes permitted from home, in which trusted employees were granted PS3 devkits to put in extra hours in their living room. The toughest project I tested was “Batman: Arkham City” on the XBOX 360, PS3, and PC, including a demo for E3 and other gaming conventions. Rocksteady was pleased with our bug reports, which allowed them efficiently fix problem areas, and improve the player experience. To this day, "Batman: Arkham City" still holds a spot in the top 10 games for XBOX 360 and PS3 on Metacritic.
  • Nintendo
    Associate Product Tester
    Nintendo Aug 2008 - Dec 2010
    Redmond, Wa
Nintendo was where I first got into testing video game software, and where I learned blackbox testing techniques that I would be using for the next several years. Many of my project coordinators were not only impressed with how quickly I excelled at testing, but also with my attention to detail for finding bugs. While at Nintendo I worked on multiple platforms, and tested such AAA titles as “Super Mario 3D World”, “Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D”, “Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box”, and “Punch-Out!!” Outside of testing, I was also volunteered in helping expand email communications within the testing department, and was trusted enough to help demo games at Nintendo's 25th anniversary party.
  • Fred Meyer
    Freight Crew
    Fred Meyer Oct 2007 - Aug 2008
    Issaquah, Wa
Working a graveyard shift was one of the most strenuous schedules I’ve ever worked in my life. However, I feel doing so made me stronger and more tenacious. As hard as my jobs in the future would be, nothing compares to moving boxes, and restocking shelves at 3 AM.
  • Northwest Radiography
    Bookkeeper
    Northwest Radiography Sep 2006 - Oct 2007
    Issaquah, Wa
While working at a dental office as a bookkeeper, I had to learn to multitask very quickly. Besides bookkeeping, I helped out with inventory, delivery of medical supplies, and editing high definition images of teeth for dentists. I gained a lot experience with Photoshop, which helped me to appreciate the potential capabilities of the program on a more professional level. I still use Photoshop to this day, both creatively and professionally.
  • Walgreens
    Sales Clerk
    Walgreens Mar 2003 - Sep 2006
    Kirkland, Wa
Working for Walgreens was the first real job I ever had. The store was open 24/7, even on holidays. I did everything from working a register to moving freight, cleaning and organizing product shelves, and setting up store displays. Working at Walgreens helped me understand better ways of helping people, and appreciating those who work in retail. I’ve always been an eager and helpful person, and being a clerk taught me new forms of compassion and patience.
  • Dandy Web Design
    Intern Web Designer
Dandy Web Design Jun 2004 - Aug 2004
    Kirkland, Wa
As an intern, I wrote and tested HTML, created flash banners and menu bars, and worked on images using Adobe ImageReady. I also animated the Dandy Web Design butterfly banner logo, bringing it to life, and making it more eye catching. I wanted to add a new sense of design to the site, and they were pleased with the results; Dandy Web Design always encouraged me to express my creativity.
