    While in stateside garrison my primary responsibility was to plan, resource, and monitor training for a brigade combat team that consisted of over 3,500 Soldiers separated in six subordinate battalions. These battalions consisted of mechanized infantry, armor, field artillery, combat engineer, military police, and logistical units. While deployed I served as the officer-in-charge of the brigade's tactical operations center. I was responsible for tracking and coordinating all current operations within the brigade's area of operations. This meant directing and briefing reinforcements in response to enemy action, coordinating between ground forces and attack aviation elements, coordinating support from unmanned aerial vehicles, and scrambling medical evacuation helicopters and ground medical staff. I directed the actions of over 40 individuals assigned within the operations center. I served as the link between the brigade's operations and our higher headquarters and I was responsible for briefing the brigade commander and the division staff on all ongoing operations.• Conducted pre-deployment reconnaissance in Kuwait and planned all aspects of pre-deployment training • Performed battle-tracking duties for 180 consecutive days in combat• Selected for advancement to a primary staff position

My primary duties included coordinating all aspects of the ADC-O's schedule, to include managing his calendar, preparing his briefing materials, relaying his instructions to senior commanders and staff officers, and coordinating his air and ground transportation. Additionally I prepared his written correspondence as directed and helped senior commanders interpret the general's guidance and orders. I traveled with the general on all official trips and arraigned all travel, lodging, and protocol requirements.     I served as the second in command of a Light Infantry Rifle Company. The company was deployed to Camp Doha, Kuwait in order to provide force protection and convoy security throughout Kuwait. I was responsible for all logistical support and maintenance, to include all individual and crew-served weapons and the company’s fleet of 27 vehicles. I was responsible for all training resources, including coordinating range time, distributing and accounting for all ammunition and pyrotechnics, and ordering and distributing food, fuel and water. During combat I oversaw the company’s 60mm Mortar Section, coordinated for aerial resupply operations, and organized the company’s medical detachment into a mobile forward aid station. I was responsible for all company administrative actions, to include awards, evaluations, and reports. I was responsible for coordinating all deployment and redeployment operations, to include manifesting personnel and equipment, building and loading equipment pallets, coordinating customs inspections, and tracking all departures and arrivals. I was directly responsible for the company’s weapons, logistics, administration, Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Section, and 60mm Mortar Section.• Coordinated a no-notice deployment from Kuwait to Afghanistan in 24 hours• Served as second in command during three combat missions in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan• Coordinated redeployment operations from Bagram, Afghanistan to Fort Drum, NY
