My father Dr Bob McCauley, Sr invented this process when he was a professor at Michigan State University in the 1960s. He was in the civil engineering department. I also laid some of the first fiber optic cable for the phone company in Albany, New York while working at Robinson Pipe Cleaning. It was some of the first fiber optic phone cable to be used anywhere in the world. It was brand new to the industry. It was some of the toughest work I ever did but I sure was proud of being a part of it. -

It was owned partly by the Smiths, Chet and Agie. My father and George bought them out and started fresh. I worked at Wolverine on and off for 12 years, mostly summers. I love to work as a land surveyor. It's great get outside and land surveyors are a fine trade and I like working around and with them. I also worked as a land surveyor in New Jersey in Newark, Belleville (Keelan & Pica - Jack Keelan & Jim Pica) and Glen Rock for Riggs Assoc. - 1984-86.
