BAYER CORPORATION – Pittsburgh, PA (Massachusetts Based)Leadership Development Consultant: 2013 to 2015 Plan, organize and manage the leadership development centers for high potential candidates for Bayer USA. Partnered with external consultants to redesign and improve the quality and delivery of development centers. Established and implemented guidelines to significantly improve the selection, notification and follow up processes. Developed and delivered sessions to better train the leaders selected to be development center coaches. Created online surveys to obtain high quality immediate feedback at the conclusion of a development center to guide continuous improvement efforts. Coached HR professionals at all levels in the organization to better understand how to best utilize the various leadership development programs available at both the global and local levels.

Leadership Development and Organizational Development: Functioned as “in house” leadership development, training and OD consultant to the Bayer Business and Technology and Bayer Corporation organizations. Partnered with senior leaders and HR colleagues to create and implement high quality professional development strategies for high potential employees and other selected candidates. Provided leadership development coaching, support and advice to HR management, peers and colleagues. Strong executive image and excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.Performance Management Coaching: Coached managers to help them improve their own performance and the performance of their employees. Worked directly with managers to help them identify, execute and manage professional development programs for their employees. Followed up with employees and managers to integrate learnings from participation in leadership development programs into concrete and actionable development plans. Provided personalized employee development coaching and support to both managers and employees to help ensure high quality implementation and follow up. Employee Relations Coaching: Counseled and coached both managers and employees as they navigated through both routine and challenging employee relations issues. Designed and facilitated business planning workshops for the newly merged Harvard Community Health Plan and Pilgrim Health Care organizations (Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.) Created a collaborative planning process that linked the corporate strategic plan, measures, targets and key initiatives to individual department plans and budgets.

Redesigned the sales training and development curriculum for Harvard Community Health Plan. Initiated and facilitated a change management process that led to a staff-developed incentive and compensation system, new job descriptions and new career advancement opportunities. Established and directed professional mentoring programs for all new hires. Created cross-disciplinary internship programs in partnership with various departments. Delivered workshops in consultative selling, interpersonal and communication skills and time management.
