Over 40 years working in the area of medical waste policy, permitting, technology evaluation and regulatory advocacy throughout the US and internationally. I co-authored of the "EPA Guide for Infectious Waste" in 1980 and in 1990 was the contractor for "Finding the Rx for Managing Medical Waste--A Report to the US Congress." My work includes all types of waste including medical waste, pharmaceutical waste, Controlled Substances, RCRA hazardous and patient health information/confidential waste issues. I have successfully permitted treatment facilities and technologies through EPA (FIFRA) and at the state and local level, in the United States and Canada. My goal is to establish programs that keep compliance high and costs as low as possible including carbon foot printing, waste segregation and recycling. I have worked with over 200 hospitals and health systems in my career and have done more work in this sector than anyone else. .I routinely assist clients with getting permits for technologies or facilities, waste reduction and recycling programs to reduce the costs of managing and disposing of waste, public policy advocacy to streamline regulations, operations assistance to make medical waste facilities more cost effective, marketing analysis to increase sales, and overall program assistance.Specialties: Environmental audits and cost saving programs for hospitals.
