As a Loan Officer at The First National Bank of Sandoval, I specialized in consumer and real estate lending (NMLS #1726543), and also did commercial lending as well. I headed the bank's secondary market mortgage program, as well as performed the bank's appraisal reviews. I took applications, performed underwriting, and approved and denied loans. I became very familiar with all types of lending, and of the ever-changing regulations and laws that run the banking industry.The thing I loved the most about my job was being able to help the people I met and the relationships I developed. Working in a small community bank, everybody knows everybody, and their kids, and the whole community is essentially one big family. Customers aren't just account numbers or statements; they're people that have been banking with you since they were 16 and are now 70. When you walked into my bank, or my office, it was my mission to help you with anything in any way I could.
