Worked in a variety of capacities at FedEx Services including technical and operational roles. All roles were in 3PL capacity serving major customers: primarily General Motors, Chrysler and Ford. Here I started primarily as a package handler, loading and unloading trucks during early morning and late evening shifts. I worked into a supervisory and QA capacity before graduating Michigan State and moving on to FedEx Services. While at FedEx ground I developed a hands on knowledge of the small package industry gaining a solid understanding of these critical concepts:- Hub & spoke package distribution channels- Feeder linehaul routes- Owner Operator model and its intricacies- Importance of high level on time service commitments- Package sorting methods at hubs and terminals- Capacity planning in times of peak volume
