I am a seasoned accounting professional and CPA with over 30 years of industry experience. As a Controller Consultant with Tier One Services, I focus on internal controls, analysis & insights, financial modeling, software research and implementations, software conversions, custom Excel programming, and mass bookkeeping rehab projects.I am an accounting team leader who is passionate about protecting organizations with sound internal controls, policies, and procedures. I am also passionate about custom programming in Excel, seeing this as a way to create efficiencies in data-intensive processes, thus freeing up teams to focus on results without getting bogged down with routine data entry.A Little History…After graduating from Penn State in 1989, I became a CPA and went to work for a large international firm and a regional firm in Pittsburgh where I built expertise with internal control design for small, medium, and large businesses.In 1994 I started an accounting, audit, and tax practice, running it for nearly 15 years and helping businesses of all sizes create business plans, structure tax savings, and enhance general operating practices. Looking to take on a new direction, I sold my share of the firm in 2007 and joined the team of a financial software development company as a supervisor managing successful accounting and specialized software implementations.
