Responsibilities include development and maintenance in a logistics environment at the number one ranked car manufacturer in the world.Develop and maintain mainframe processes to extract and feed a 3rd party cloud based Logistics/Trade Compliance application. This process enables the business to outsource the process of keeping up to date with continually changing US Customs regulations for import and export of goods. It also enables the company to pay duty and tariffs as efficiently as possible by tracking parts and finished goods from import, through the manufacturing process to sale or export. Technologies used are COBOL, DB2, and IMS/DB.

Responsibilities included all aspects of development and support in a Property and Casualty Insurance Tracking environment in which over 3 million active loans are tracked. Developed CICS/Cobol II programs using IBM’s CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG) technology that connected legacy systems to Java applications that enabled customers to update personal insurance information via the web.Responsible for major rework and design to the Insurance Escrow processing systems to improve efficiency, automation, and provide auditing capabilities. This has enabled the company to offer a complete outsourcing product to clients that is highly scalable and is currently processing more than 4 million dollars a day in escrow payments. Technologies used were COBOL, DB2, and VSAM.Developed server side scripting to automate FTP transfers to various 3rd parties including banks and insurance companies.Performed extensive analysis and wrote detailed design specifications for various projects

Responsible for the development and implementation of several Intranet Web projects. These projects involved both ASP and ASP.NET utilizing C# and Visual Basic programming languages and SQL Server Databases. Web and Windows Services were also used.Involved in the development of an eligibility tracking system for small to medium sized 401k clients. Participated in a large-scale project that enabled Plan Sponsors of 401K plans to perform Error Reporting and Testing via a Web Interface. Project involved extensive modifications to Mainframe Applications to interact with a Web based front end. This project significantly reduced the cost structure for maintaining smaller 401K plans. Performed detailed analysis and wrote detailed design specifications.

Responsibilities included new development of several billing processes as part of a large scale development of a new Customer Information System in an energy utility company.Developed various Billing Functions specifically the Bill Format, Bill Print, and On-line Bill Image Display portion of the system using CICS/DB2/COBOL II.Development incorporated an iterative approach adding functionality with each iteration.Performed a key role in incorporating database design changes and performing efficiency enhancements in the later stages of the development cycle.
