Exemplifying the insights, energy, and strategic focus of an executive who has led a company through three major business cycles, I thrive on using my strategic marketing and communication skills in helping my company as well as my customers’ businesses grow and succeed.Most recently, as CEO and Chairman of J.R. Clancy, Inc., the leading international designer, manufacturer, and installer of theatrical rigging equipment, the company grew from $2MM to $32MM in sales and was profitable 29 of 30 years. Notable clients included Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Philadelphia’s Academy of Music, Dallas’ Winspear Opera House, and many Las Vegas venues.Inspired by the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program, I spearheaded the company’s emersion in total quality management and customer service and led the company to become one of the first specialty contractors in the United States to receive (ISO) 9001:2000 certification. As part of the ISO process, I tackled customer experience issues, driving two transforming programs, OTCC (On-Time, Complete, Correct) and M.O.P.S (Making Our Partner Successful).Previously, I’ve held sales and marketing positions at SONY Corporation including Director of Advertising during the successful launch of the Walkman™, as Product Manager of Trinitron™ TVs, and the Betamax®. Prior to that, my career began as a financial analyst at RCA Corporation.I hold an MBA in Marketing from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania as well as a BS in Finance from Villanova University.
