I have over 37 years of professional engineering and management experience in a variety of international markets and industries including military, aerospace, security, manufacturing, financial services, and consumer product development. I’m currently focused on showing software engineering teams how to deliver enterprise quality software at scale. Over the past 10 years I’ve had the great pleasure to lead some remarkable software build and release teams at a number of companies including Mark43 and FireEye (now Trellix). I previously held the position of Principal Software Development Manager at Microsoft Corporation, where I led team members from the United States, China, and Thailand. A highlight of my early career was creating a microprocessor based controller for the highly successful Charge Hazard Analysis and Wake Studies (CHAWS) experiment which flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-60) and on the Space Shuttle Endeavor (STS-69). In addition to my day jobs, I also worked for 5 years as an Adjunct Professor at a private undergraduate college. Outside of work I enjoy skiing, drumming, and building and flying Radio Controlled Helicopters.
