Key Purpose of the Job: • Carry out all engineering activities for design of Products within the portfolio to achieve exceptional results through – personal effectiveness, partnering with others & building customer loyalty, fulfilling their needs in an efficient & effective manner;• Lead, manage & operate portfolio of activities to achieve stakeholder engagement objectives in accordance with SKF values complying with Project & Quality Management System.

• Modification of the production components according to the design changes (ECO).• Interaction and coordination with manufacturing suppliers.• Concept generation and validation using TCS defined templates.• Design documentation• Project planning and preparation of SOW. • Manufacturing considerations like parting line, Draft angle, wall thickness and weight reduction.• Stage gate reviews with customer.

1 .Initial Feasibility study of new conceptual gravity casting products (Rocker arm cover, Valve base cover, Crankcase LH & RH, Housing casting, Oil sump cover etc) as per high pressure die casting as well as machining and tooling requirement.2. Concept design of high pressure die casting, Gravity Die casting like Alloy Wheel components.3. Product Design and layout of High pressure die casting die by using different CAD tool (IdeasNX-12, ProE WF-3, UGNX-5)4. Parting line selection, Core cavity extraction, Mould base design, Assembly, Drafting of high pressure, Gravity die casting components and die by using CAD tools.5. Simulation of die casting components & troubleshooting of casting defects, Runner & Gate Calculation, Cooling Calculation, Die casting Machine Parameter, Flow Analysis, Porosity, Air entrapment, Solidification etc by using Magma 4.2 and Analyze the result 6. Stress Analysis of Alloy Wheel like 90”-30” Impact Test, Radial Load Fatigue Test, Torsion Test, Bend Rotation Fatigue Test. 7. BOM creation using Baan ERP software.8. Part design checking and releasing.9. Design Planning Vs Actual and Customer Interaction. 10. TS-16949 activity for design and data management.11. High Pressure die-casting die trial attending and troubleshooting.
