I have founded a small studio based in Cluj-Napoca, the heart of Transylvania, that offers complete solutions for the gaming industry. Creating and managing remote teams, I took the role of external Game Producer while still offering consultancy in software architecture for various clients around the world.As part of the contracted work that the studio outsourced along the years, I have been involved in different roles in clients' teams. A few that can be mentioned, but not limited to(because of personal or the studio's NDAs):- Gathr.io: Software Architecture and Gamification Consultant-- Limited time consultancy role.-- “Let’s Gathr” is a “Zoom meets the metaverse” product where people can create avatars in a 3rd person world and meet in public spaces or rent private rooms that they can use for conferences with the ability to live stream their screens, cameras etc. - During the pre-production and demo development phases, the entire team was working and being managed remotely. The team was spread across a vast number of different time zones, from Pakistan all the way to the US and Brazil- Warchain: Software Architect and Head of Technology- Naki Sagas: Game Producer-- Naki Sagas is supposed to be a blockchain-based game under development that incorporates small metaverse features(besides the actual game-related mechanics, the players can also use the open world to simply interact with each others)-- I dived into this project to explore my curiosity when it comes to any new technology, expand my understanding of blockchain technologies and figure any potential uses in gaming projects. Game Producer And C++ DeveloperTap Hero Sep 2016 - Apr 2017Tap Hero is one of my dearest projects I had the chance to work on. The game hasn’t been maintained in a while, but at the time of launch it was featured both by Apple(as their ‘App of the Week’ program at that time) and Google(in the ‘Best New Games’ section of the Play Store). A very rewarding achievement for me and the team as I believe we captured a perfect balance between simplicity, fun and eye-catching visuals considering the limited budget and the state of the mobile gaming industry at that timeWe also released a web version of this game which can be found here: https://poki.com/en/g/tap-heroFor the web version we designed and implemented our own in-house C++ 2D iOS mobile and web engine and a compiler which translates OpenGL C++ libraries to web assembly - a complicated, but very rewarding technical achievement.
