Site Director of Anthracite Heritage Museum, a historical and cultural museum centered in the Anthracite coal region and Eckley Miners' Village, a 19th century mining company town for Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission

Provided heritage assessments, documentation, and mitigation planning of the built environment with a focus on engineering and industrial structures.

Developed preservation and museum rehabilitation plans for an 1845-1971, 45-structure military base on the Detroit River. Projects included planning architectural, structural, green space, and museum exhibit restoration, developing sustainable funding options, and conceptualizing a new industrial/military museum. Managed architectural and preservation consultants and coordinated volunteer corps and staff input, presented goals and updates to City and State Officials, liaison with National Park Service, coordinated with civic and community groups, presented public lectures, and served as primary contact for site development and restoration.

Developed, implemented, and administered historical, archeological, collection, and conservation projects for a 32 acre blast furnace complex. Projects included documentation and capital preservation of historic buildings, large-scale iron-making structures, small artifacts and equipment, photographs, book collections, and artwork. Administered historical interpretation, acquisitions, and oral history programs, wrote grants, presented public lectures, chaired Collection Committee, and represented staff on Buildings and Grounds Committee and Historic-Interpretive Subcommittee

Produced technological and historical context report on Virginia's iron industry from 1622 to 1920 and developed field procedures for and conducted surveys of 19th century blast furnaces in the Washington and Jefferson National Forest. Developed Historic American Building Survey field sketches and elevation details of early twentieth century structures.

Prepared oil spill contingency plans, spill risk analysis, and compliance planning for international clients in conjunction with the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.

Summers. Produced technological and social histories of two early twentieth century foundries in Alabama for this division of the National Park Service. Incorporated primary documents, historic photographs, oral interviews, and evolving foundrytechnology into the context of the Birmingham Iron District.

Provided technical expertise and program management for the selection, procurement, and implementation of oil spill response equipment; prepared oil spill contingency plans in conjunction with federal and state regulations; coordinated personnel and technical input during off site operations for government and commercial clients.
