I am a May 2023 graduate from the University of Missouri with my Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering and concentration in Bioinformatics and Information Technology Systems. With my extensive experience on team-based engineering projects, I have learned to combine technical expertise with communication to drive successful outcomes. My participation in Stanford’s Code in Place Program during the COVID-19 pandemic ignited a passion for programming and led me to pursue Information Technology/Computer Science. Since then, I have expanded my skills in different industry areas such as manufacturing, laboratory, and software. My most recent engineering project was developing an application to troubleshoot manufacturing lines to increase quality assurance testing efficiency. During my time at the University of Missouri, I was heavily involved in the Society of Women Engineers organization where I served as the Director of Communications for 3 years. This role has allowed me to hone in on my leadership and interpersonal skills, all while motivating and empowering women in STEM. I look forward to continuing my involvement with the Society of Women Engineers in a professional role and hope to be a role model for young women interested in STEM.
