Atmospheric research involves handling large data sets from various sources; developing mathematical models; fetching pieces of information from different databases; error-analyses; statistical significance determination; risk analysis, forecasting, come up with hypotheses, hypothesis testing; Data Mining and Big Data; pattern recognition; Monte-Carlo simulations, Principle Component Analysis, EOFs and (multiple linear -) regression; identifying and explain robust patterns; time-series-, time-lag-, seasonal- and trend analyses and handling of interdependent data and significance testing, researching and creative thinking. Academic skills: course development and teaching at all university levels; trained in didactics (i.e. teaching and learning in higher education), particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics -STEM-subjects; recognition and identifications of structures and analyses of consequences associated with the way the academic system is run; gender- and minority issues; the outcome of the system in terms of research, the students’ knowledge and self-perception and interactions with the industry and the rest of the world.
