Thanks to my 6th grade English teacher I learned the value of story telling. She reinforced my love of listening and helped me understand the importance of paying attention to small details. Details can reveal important features of our character. Usually a compelling narrative has a classic hero/heroine who emerges from humble beginnings to overcome challenges and benefit their community.As a coach, I find myself asking clients “How do you see yourself?" Then I help them change their story to create fulfilling lives.As a Mediator, I ask parties "What do you want, what is reasonable and what can you live with for an outcome to this mediation?"My "sweet spot" is problem solving and idea generation. I like to re-frame perspectives by asking probing questions and using reflective listening. I am a collaborator who wants to improve processes and knowledge share.
