I've always wondered, sought knowledge, examined perspectives, experimented, developed my opinions and done my best to act accordingly. Studying applied philosophy feels like coming home. My interests are questions regarding the nature of reality, how we perceive reality and how to improve our perception. This curiosity has led me to topics such as physical training, nutrition and sleep along with mental training, sauna, ice baths, psychedelics and meditation.The best aspect of being a teacher for 5 years, was providing pupils with alternative views on life, and discussing how they might live their best lives. Their perspectives changed me and I grew as a person, accepting the differences in the diverse preferences people hold. Science might tell us what is generally best for humans, but that doesn't make it synonymous with that which is indvidual and contextually optimal. I've also learned how to structure learning and enjoy the fruits of my labour, now that I am a student again.Knowing what is best is having knowledge; doing what is best for you, is having wisdom.
