• Investigated three methods of copper removal by assessing removal rate, cost, energy consumption, and etc, a 99% removal rate is achieved using electrochemical filter press cells.• Collaborated with professors from the EPA, MSU, and University of Iowa on a literature research paper; reviewed over 20 research articles on copper in drinking water.• Discovered most effective filtering copper by flushing is 5-10 min every 2-3 hours.

• Collected and inspected over 500 water samples in various stages of wastewater treatment processes, using turbidimeter, pH ion meter, water baths and other laboratory equipment.

• Examined rainwater as drinking water source by analyzing alkalinity, pH, etc. for over 100 samples of rainwater and city tap water.• Performed acid baths and alkalinity measurements 50+ times per week.• Interpreted gathered data using MS Excel with bar graphs and scatter plots.
