Main responsibilities:• Coordinating & prioritising the day to day activities of the Parts & Clothing department• Visual Marketing – planning and implementing relevant and compelling displays of Parts & Clothing within the showroom to maximise sales whilst enhancing our motorcycle displays• Working with Motorcycle Sales team to identify and promote suitable products alongside bikes• Monitoring department business performance – Turnover, Margin, Stock turn and stock levels• Purchasing – coordinates the restock of existing lines and new product purchases, as well as customer special orders. Plans product pre-orders where required.• Product knowledge – developing & building detailed knowledge of the products we sell and sharing it within the department so that all team members can deliver the best customer experience.• Marketing & Promotions – devising &implementing promotions for instore, online and email marketing• Contributing to the ongoing planning and maintenance of online product content and catalogues

I joined PCS Logistics in May 2015 as a sub-contractor driver. I was working for a well-known national distributor, collecting and returning parcels from the warehouse and delivering them to different kind of events such as Goodwood Festival of Speed, Redbull Soapbox, Nitro Circus. I was able to use location software effectively and committed to meeting deadlines. Always providing a prompt service. Responsibilities and skills acquired:• Delivering to warehouse premises, to commercial properties and entertaining events.• Completing paperwork when collecting and delivering packages.• Excellent time management• Communicating any problems with management in a timely and professional manner.• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of a van, including daily checks of oil, water, lights and tires.• Responsible for the physical handling of packages; carrying fragile items with care• Responding to customer requests in a polite and cheerful manner.

I joined Edinoh Motos in April 2016 as a motorcycle mechanic. I was responsible for carrying out warranty repairs to manufacturers guidelines. Including repairs, replacing brakes and suspensions, servicing of motorcycles. Also ensuring all work is completed on time and within service schedules.Main Duties and Responsibilities:• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and overhaul old and new motorcycles and motorized vehicles• Adjust fork, brakes, drive chains to specifications• Replace defective pistons, cylinders, and valves • Check and replace air filters, carburettors • Maintained the repairing equipment and tools in neat, clean, oiled and functional condition at all times• Overhauled and improved mileage of motorcycles• Scheduled motorcycles for routine check and maintenanceSkills learned, used or developed: ability to assemble and disassemble motorcycle engines, knowledge of the formation and installation of mechanical components, suspension adjustment, malfunction diagnosis, well-organized with attention to detail.

I started my own business during college. The main field of activity was trading car and motorcycle parts. I used to provide customers advice in regards with solving different mechanical issues. I was also supervising technical service activities when required.Skills learned, used or developed: paying attention to details, developed management duties and oraganizational skills applied in an environment with lots of deadlines, focusing on gaining knowledge on the most up to date mechanical improvements on the market, succeeded in bringing up a small company into a top one in the local area.

This was an opportunity to become part of the KTM Apprenticeship programme as a motorcycle technician.
