CurrentPerform administration of RIS/PACS systems and related secondary applications. Perform the monitoring of production as well as test servers and production interfaces to ensure stability of systems and applications. Coordinate scheduled and non-scheduled power cycle reboot, hardware/software maintenance and support. Assign duties, responsibilities and system analysis tasks to support team. Daily collaboration with various radiology department staff, IT staff, radiologists, vendors, and engineers regarding problems related to RIS, PACS and/or Dictation application. Direct interaction with Radiology Department unit managers and Staff, to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into PACS, transmission to network, RIS validation and exceptions. Assist and Discuss with other clinical system managers, administrators and analysts full or partial system upgrades, common data synchronization issues and schemes, as well as implementation of new orders of tests or medical procedures. Crate test plans for RIS/PACS upgrades and assist other clinical system managers with creating portions of test plans that include radiology tasks and orders. Anticipate and resolve system and human/workflow mistakes; investigate, identify, and resolve specific operational problems. Extract data from DB for departmental administration analysis. Synchronize (if required) data entry into RIS/PACS/Dictation systems: patient merges, updates physicians, exams and exam related dictionaries, updates patient demographic, etc. Schedule demo sessions with vendors to improve patient care, system data safety, workflow and system performance. Configure of radiology sub-systems and various equipment in RIS/PACS systems form various third party vendor's. Write/maintain guideline for: System support/maintenance, System utilization by end-users. Maintain and assign resources for on-call schedule. Provide 24 x 7 (after hours) on call coverage (on a rotating basis).
