• Execution of the annual internal audit plan and engagement performance as directed by the Group General Auditor• Perform operational and financial audits on-site in accordance with professional auditing standards• Evaluate and enhance internal controls to improve operational efficiency• Discuss audit observations and recommendations with local management at the audit wrap-up meeting and prepare draft audit reports, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control system and the efficiency with which activities are carried out• Follow-up on coverage of audit recommendations and issuance of activity reports to the General Auditor• Communicate audit status to management on regular basis• Participate in developing and maintaining high quality internal audit documentation / guidelines• Collaborate with and support other team members and coach newcomers, peers & junior staff• Perform ad-hoc special assignments; Coordinate, support and interface with outside local auditors to expedite their work

Assist the board and/or audit committee by delivering:• Objective evaluations of the existing risk and internal control framework;• Systematic analysis of business processes and associated controls;• Ad hoc reviews of other areas of concern;• Reviews of the operational and financial performance;• A source of information on major frauds and irregularities; • Recommendations for more effective and efficient use of resources.
