Developed a concise and general enantioselective approach to synthesis of substituted tetrahydrofuro[3,2-c][1,2]dioxin-6(3H)-ones. Successfully accomplished total synthesis of plakortolides, secondary metabolites of Plakortis family sponges possessing interesting antiparasitic, antifungal and anticancer activities. Accomplished total synthesis of andavadoic acid and its enantiomer. Obtained results allowed to prove the structure of some natural compounds and correct the absolute configuration of few others previously incorrectly assigned in the literature. Was involved in the laboratory management.
