Experienced UX developer. What does that mean?In most development there is a gap between the designer that lays out the look and feel of the site visually and the back end / full stack developer that works with the data and business logic. It's not that the full stack developer can't fill that gap, it's that it's generally not their main interest or specialization. Many I've found either don't enjoy CSS or find it frustrating, as it requires a different mindset and approach from other programming languages. But it fills an important niche in modern web development. For over 15 years I have been helping companies with this. Building modular, accessible, responsive front end components using a mix of semantic HTML, CSS / SASS, and some flavor of JavaScript for behavior. Sometimes that's as the sole developer in this role, working with designers and stakeholders to make sure their vision is translated to markup then with the rest of the development team to hook that all up to a database or API as well as all the business logic. Sometimes it's as part of a design system team, building a toolbox of components that help other teams deliver faster and with more confidence that their site will be accessible and responsive while also writing documentation and guiding them on its usage.Basically I enjoy helping people, solving problems, and being a useful member of the team that can offer mentoring, advice, constructive criticism, or alternative solutions depending on its needs at the moment. It may be corny but I grew up on Mr. Rogers and I just try to emulate his kindness, empathy, and grace. All that said, I have a strong sense of impostor syndrome and try not to take myself too seriously, but my recommendations seem to imply I offer value even if I'm not a "rockstar developer" to use the old cliche. So if your company has a need for my skill set I'd love to have a conversation and see if we can help each other.Primary skills: HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, design systems, responsive design, modular design, accessibility, jQuerySecondary skills: SEO, WordPress, semantics, web standards, ReactOther skills: CoffeeScript, PHP, Ruby on Railshttp://www.bogeywebdesign.com/my-portfolio/https://github.com/bogeywebdesign
