Worked on two SaaS web applications for fleet management services including specific features for taxi companies, as well as their respective cross-platform mobile applications, following Agile project practices (Scrum, Lean)• Improved the problem of missing user-reported tickets resulting in delayed system fixes by developing a feature that synchronizes the internal ticketing system with Remember The Milk – an online to-do and task management tool• Contributed to a significant reduction in the cost of the project by cutting the number of requests to the Google Maps API by close to 90% (a request per every page load compared to a request per notable change), implementing logic for storing an optimal route for commercial vehicles• Helped two interns become full-time team members by mentoring and assisting them, including an introduction to the codebase, and performing pair programming sessions• Improved the efficiency of the dispatch center by close to 80% (20 seconds per call compared to 90 seconds), as well as reduced the passenger wait times and unnecessary cab transit times, by working on an algorithm for automating the process of searching for the most suitable cabs• Opened the opportunity for generating new reports for old and local data stored by local legacy applications used in dispatch centers, by developing a system for two-way synchronization between them and the main web application• Reduced the application interaction time for drivers, as well as centralized the taximeter data, by developing a feature that establishes an always-on Bluetooth connection with the taximeter and automates some use cases in the application• Technologies used: ASP.NET MVC 5, Web API 2, REST, C#, MS SQL, LINQ, Dapper, SignalR, NUnit, Quartz.NET, RabbitMQ, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, Phonegap, Framework7, Firebase Cloud Messaging
