He has lived and worked in ex-Soviet Union countries such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the five central Asian countries including Kazakhstan and the three Caucasus countries including Georgia. In that period, he covered lots of important events in these countries such as the war between Russia and Georgia in 2008.
