As a Housekeeping Coordinator I am responsible for making sure the cleaning tasks are carried out well.Also,to insuring Housekeeping unit works efficiently,meet performance goals,timelines and standards.My favourite part has to be turn-down,whereby guests make a call to have staff sent to their room and I would make sure the correct items are delivered to their as per guest's request.I have to say I practices how to be patient working as a coordinator talking with guests over the phone,in a polite manner and not sounding bored. I am happy to say since i work there complains with regarding to the person on the phone being rude and sounding uninterested have decreased. lesson learnt is that customers is always right and deserve to be served with courtesy.Boipelo Ndaba.
