Under direction of Director of Materials Management solicit bids and negotiates the purchase of supplies, equipment and services for all hospital departments. Duties include maintaining and auditing of vendor files in the on line purchasing system. Position acts as a liaison between vendors and department heads in order to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of supplies equipment and services needed for the delivery of safe, quality and consistent patient care. Manage all aspects of the Purchasing, Receiving and equipment rentals. Maintain and set Par levels for the various remote supply storerooms located within the facility. Work closely with all departments within the hospital to ensure that their supply needs are met in a timely manner and that the items purchased are following the negotiated GPO contracts. Also given the Housekeeping department to manage and the work closely with the charge data input personnel to ensure proper equipment and supply charges are made on all inpatients. Also given the added responsibility to be over the Plant operations department.

1991 – 2009 Clear Lake Rehabilitation Hospital Webster, TexasManager of Purchasing/Radiology of 60 bed Physical Rehab Facility. Managed all aspects of Purchasing, Receiving, and Equipment Rentals. Had direct input in contract and vendor negotiations and product evaluations. Assisted in the building of the current Item master file, which is a Microsoft based electronic requisitioning system that integrates with Dynamics Great Plains Accounting software. Assisted in several Hospital startups over a period of 4 years and also was asked to provide training to new Purchasing Agents hired for those new facilities. Have 30 plus years of Diagnostic Radiology Experience. Was the First Diagnostic Imaging Director for ST John Hospital, Nassau Bay, Texas. Responsible for the transition from the Federal USPHS Hospital to the not for- profit Sisters of Charity Hospital. Established a full service Radiology Department that included all specialties. Evaluated and purchased all new equipment needed for a multimillion-dollar expansion project. Directed total operations of that department and had a total 36 FTEs. Maintained the set contribution margin for the department and met budget requirements at all times.
