Understanding Precarity in BC (UP-BC), a six-year Partnership Grant awarded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) is jointly led by Kendra Strauss, Director of SFU’s Labour Studies Program and the Morgan Centre for Labour Research, and Iglika Ivanova, Senior Economist and Public Interest Researcher with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives’ BC Office (CCPA-BC). UP-BC team includes 39 academic researchers, four BC universities, and 26 community partners with deep connection to populations most impacted by precarity.Corporate Mapping Project (2015-2023) was a research and public engagement project investigating the power of the fossil fuel industry in Western Canada, led by the University of Victoria, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (BC and Saskatchewan Offices) and Parkland Institute, and supported by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Overall support to research in LAEC; financial and narrative reporting; administrative and financial support and planning; support to Dr. Majid Bahrami’s research grant applications development; LAEC web-site updates.

Monitoring of implementation of projects funded under the Tempus programme of European Union (including reporting and advisory activities, project database management, communication with grant holders, projects’ team members and relevant state institutions); promotion of the programme Erasmus+ and opportunities for international cooperation in higher education (public presentations, workshops, grant facilitation), mailing lists, website and social media maintenance.

Overall responsibilities in organization:1. Development of strategies, programs, project proposals and policies, 2. Facilitation of planning processes (strategic, financial, organizational, implementation)3. Coordination of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities, advising in narrative/financial reporting4. Training/workshop planning, design and delivery (projects “Inclusion and I - strengthening of youth with disabilities to participate in the academic and social community” and “Independently to Diploma – increasing capacity for self-representation and support for students with disabilities, residents of the dorm Mika Mitorvić”, Inkluzijada – generations 1, 2 and 3, etc.)5. Management/Coordination of projects "Strengthening capacities of local self-governments and educational institutions for implementation of laws and policies of inclusive education in local communities in Serbia" (December 2010 – December 2012) and “Human rights approach to education – strengthening the future inclusive education providers” (July 2012 – June 2013).

Overall support in policy development and implementation of technical activities for the Project "Balkans Youth and Health" and coordination, supervision and monitoring of financial, administrative and other project activities; Financial planning and reporting; Management of the office in Belgrade.

- Development of programs and project proposals, keeping track of application procedures and deadlines, adjusting project proposals to funding organization specific forms, fundraising, contact with donors and other relevant stakeholders- Facilitation of planning processes – strategic, financial, media campaign planning; Coordination of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities.- Preparation of policy proposals and legislation (amendments to relevant laws, etc.)- Planning, design and delivery of trainings for partner organizations of students and youth with disabilities- Coordination of South East Europe Network of Youth and Students with Disabilities (2005-2006, including joint project proposal writing and preparation and chairing of the Network meetings)- Representing ASD in SHARE SEE Project Steering Committee and SHARE SEE officer for ASD (www.share-see.org) - training and consultancy work for strengthening persons with disabilities and their organizations, including project proposal writing, project cycle and financial management.
