I was responsible for all customary HR-issues you can find in an HR-department in Sweden but in Saudi I was also responsible for visa, medical services, compounds and schools for the employees and families. It was approx 400 employees from over 40 countries from all over the world in this project. It is worth over 5 billion SEK. My last two years I was working as HR-Director for Ericsson in Saudi. I was member of Ericsson steering team in Saudi and HR-manager team in Middle East.

This was a project between Ericsson and AF.I worked as a consultant. My first task was to find a good way for AF to work together with high-tech companies. As a result of my work, AF started a project for small to medium companies “HR-department to rent”. I was responsible for this project. We served companies free of charge; with all kinds of HR-issues but mainly recruitment.I also figured out that the knowledge of the recruitment process was very weak in AF. Therefore, I constructed a five-day course for the AF employees in the recruitment process. This education is now used as an advanced training tool for AF employees in SwedenI was employed by LM Ericsson

As Program Director for the Microelectronic Program I was responsible for a Ph..D school for over 50 students and a budget for approx 40 milj SEK yearly. This program was cooperation between Chalmers, KTH and LTH. The aim of this program was to give Ph.D students, not only a technical education but also good knowledge of management of people and projects.We worked closely together with Swedish industry to create a good start for these students in different companies in Sweden but also in other countries

I was responsible for all Ericsson i Väst contacts with students at universities and Technical High Schools in the west and south of Sweden. During this year, I made PR for Ericsson as the future employer for these students. I visited “arbetsmarknadsdagar” at all these schools, I arranged open house at Ericsson for students from Chalmers and I was also responsible for a magazine which we distributed to over 10 000 students

This was a very fast growing organization; over 450 highly skilled engineers were employed for a time period of 5 years. I built up HR-department from nothing to a very excellent working department during these years. As HR-Manager I was working with all HR-issues for example recruitment, negotiations, salary revision, competence development and Manager Planning. One big issue I worked with, together with the management team was to put down the commandments for the company and established them in the organization. As head of the HR-department I was responsible for 20 people. The department was divided into six sections: HR, Competence, Administration Security, Reception and Guest service. Ericsson in Linköping also worked together with other Ericsson companies round the globe. That means I worked closed together with HR-Staff from UK, Ireland, Canada and Japan. As an example of this I can mention that I worked 6 weeks in Yokohama, Japan.

I was responsible for all competence development in the company on all levels of employees, approx 600 people. I also worked with recruitment and work environment.
