Director Warehouse Management Systems reporting directly to the CIO (Chief Information Officer), as Director of Warehouse Systems I’m responsible to maintain, enhance, manage, configure and oversee all aspects of Harvard’s warehouse systems with specific focus on Manhattan’s SCALE (warehouse management system) and third-party Warehouse Control System (Forte). The position Director Warehouse Management Systems provides leadership and management of activities in areas including but not limited to: system design and configuration, warehouse configuration, system enhancement, custom programming and development with outside vendors, system and operations performance reporting, bug fixes and troubleshooting, end user training, and warehouse product slotting. The position of Director Warehouse Management Systems is responsible for warehouse systems in all current and future Harvard Drug Group distribution centers.

Project Manager kicking off the implementation project of the Manhattan Associates iSeries warehouse management solution while actively contributing to the full life cycle scope. Partner with multiple suppliers to identify, evaluate, design and develop systems and procedures which were cost effective and met operations and end-user requirements. Planned, conducted, and directed the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). Collaborated with system architects to propose innovative solutions, several of which were integrated into the base software packages for other companies to benefit.Configure iSeries application modules supporting Quality, Audit, Cycle Counting, Inbound and Outbound Functions, such as Quality Assurance, Reverse Logistics, Pay for Performance/WorkInfo and SlotInfo. Create specifications for systems to meet the Operations business requirements as communicated by Corporate IT; Plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing of the scenarios to ensure conceptual compliance; reconfigure test discrepancies.Lead cross-functional linked teams to address the perceived business or systems issues as identified in the test environment; Address complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Provide ongoing Warehouse Management System post launch support to multiple DCs and trained DC personnel as super-users to handle the day to day troubleshooting and configuration needs.

Project manager of 5 full life cycle implementations of the Manhattan Associates iSeries (formerly PkMS) for this Fortune 500 pharmaceutical medical supply corporation. Created, documented and communicated the Project Charter describing the scope and timeline of 2 additional implementations. Project lead administering the conference room pilot to communicate the applicable scope to each of the ops managers during each of the Quality Audit and Cycle Count Module implementations. Trained and provided pre/post-launch support to up to 10 operations personnel at each of 30 locations.Configured iSeries applications by applying corporate standardized best practices and unique distribution center requirements to optimize the warehouse product placement and end-user work function. Collaborated with DC Management to define unique requirements of the warehouse, analyze the feedback to enhance the application, and communicate recommended software modifications to upper management and the Manhattan Associates to prompt change.Facilitated DC participation in go-live activities by ensuring the development, training, and testing schedules are in sync and adhering to project milestones. Created the plan and business scenarios to test the configuration for the various warehouse functions. Identify opportunities for system or process improvement.Implemented the configured application during go-live by converting the inventory from the legacy WMS the new WMS.
