One of six Founding Members of the Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School and the first Executive Director of Don Bosco Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study of the Archdiocese of Washington, Inc.Lead and managed the day-to-day operations, budget, and ongoing improvement of the work study program that placed 325 low-income students in professional office jobs in medium to large companies in the metropolitan area. - Raised $2.1M through implementation of aggressive business development initiatives that resulted in securing paid job contracts with 80 businesses in 2012- Marketed the program to medium to large businesses in the greater Washington DC community - Negotiated and secured contracts for paid, entry-level staff positions for disadvantaged students- Established and coordinated a Business Advisory Committee for the School’s Board of Directors- Developed professional relationships with both corporate human resources directors and job supervisors to ensure quality job placements and effective student performance- Designed student job preparation programs and monitored ongoing student-worker performance- Planned and coordinated student transportation to ensure timely arrival at job sites - Lead four full-time and eight part-time employees, as well as five volunteers throughout the year
