• Lead therapeutic antibody discovery and immunotherapy programs.• Responsible for antibody technology platforms including; bispecific antibodies, HLA tumor antigens, and antigen specific T-cell targeting strategies.• Lead hybridoma, B-cell based discovery platforms and functional screening teams.• Oversee all aspects of antibody discovery and development including; antigen expression and purification, antibody discovery, V-gene cloning, affinity maturation, epitope mapping, humanization, research scale manufacture and QC.• Joint lead Bioanalytical team.• Research liaison with academic collaborators for all therapeutic antibody, biologics and immunotherapy programs.

Protease engineering

• Led investigations into the structural basis of antigen recognition and presentation in the adaptive immune system. • Engineered T-Cell receptor constructs for phage display.• Led combinatorial biology group in lab of K. Christopher Garcia at Stanford University.• Advised students on theory and practice of phage display.

• Designed stable stand-alone single domain antibody scaffolds. • Invented library and sequencing based technique for the quantification of protein stability determinants in antibodies. • Developed structure based database of antibody diversity.• Developed method for the high throughput generation of soluble protein from phage display libraries.
