I truly enjoy living - and my professional work is one important key. I started off in the late 1980's as a journalist. After ten years as a local news reporter and editor, I moved on trying to manage a newsroom. Engaging with staff, in my case reporters, photographers and editors, turned my focus and curiosity towards organizational and leadership development. What actually makes a difference when a bunch of people (could be a handful or thousands) are assigned and challenged to reach a common goal? For almost two decades now I’ve been working with organizational development and leadership training as a consultant in various branches and organizations. It's been a truly exciting trip so far and I'm learning new things about organizations, teams, leadership and myself in every assignment.I have a systemic view on organizations which in this paradigm shift makes my work as a consultant both complex and very simple. The ongoing digital transformation has profound impact on all businesses and people - on our lives. Systemically expressed, if everything that happens in an organization (big decisions as well as small interventions/actions from individuals) has an impact on everything - there is basically two thing you need to focus on right now - to explore and develop human relations. * On an individual level it starts with reflection on how your behaviours, thoughts and feelings are influenced right now and actively being curious about others discoveries.* On team or group level it boils down to finding ways of trusting each other when uncertainty rules, within the team and towards other teams in the organization. * On a corporate level I believe true curiosity of customer needs and a willingness to co-create with users are keys.
