About Bonga Mbedu

I trained & qualified in 2002 in South Africa. I worked in Microbiology, Haematology & Chemistry. I worked in Serology, as well as TB screening at Edendale Hospital Laboratory. In April 2003 I then moved to Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital where I worked in Haematology department. I was able to get a more deeper understanding of blood disorders. In September 2003 I relocated to the UK where I worked in the Chemistry department. I started working as a Laboratory Assistant where I was able to learn more. In 2006 I registered as a qualified Biomedical Scientist, I was then trained in all the sections of the laboratory. From then on I was able to work alone at nights and at the weekends providing a 24/7 service.
