I am working as a General Editor with the creative and clever folks at Bloomsbury Design Library to develop strategies, expand the list of designer biographies, design encyclopedia entries, lesson plans and bibliographic guides.

This advisory role is for Langara’s Design Formations program.

As a member of the Design Faculty, I provide scholarly leadership through teaching and research in Communication Design and Design Studies. I currently focus on Anonymous and Unacknowledged design histories in Canada, design theory, political economy in design, and communication design practices for climate change.

As Design Area Head and, later, Associate Dean of Design, my duties expanded to include operational activities for the area: planning course schedules, overseeing sessional hiring, providing consistency in day-to-day operations, and devising a plan for the area to grow while maintaining our area/subjects of strength.

From 2001 to 2003, I was a faculty team member in the Design Intensive Workshops in this summer program.
