Strategic responsibility for advancing nursing practice and patient safety at a 174-bed hospital and several outpatient centers.• Led initiatives to reduce fall rate from 1.96 (top 10%) to 1.77 (best in Colorado for 2 quarters).• Reduced use of sitters by 48% through staff involvement and development of criteria & monitoring.• Increased inpatient rehab unit census by 46% in 9 months.• Implemented electronic patient tracker boards and deployed iPads for House Supervisors to improve patient throughput and staffing.• Increased BSN rate by 3% and reduced RN turnover within 9 months.• Developed Peri-Operative/Anesthesia, Cardiovascular, Neurosciences and Medicine Service Lines across multiple campuses to increase volumes and revenue, reduce expenses and improve outcomes.• Improve HCAHPS scores to 78.5% Top Box by hardwiring hourly rounding, leader rounding, new admission rounding and bedside report.• Developed regional Clinical Education and Innovation Center concept and completed $1M capital build out, including 4 state of the art simulation labs.
